Project Brief

To build an eCommerce store as a new sales channel. At the same time, provide convenience by delivering fresh durians to customers' doorstep.

Approach

First, I conducted a one-on-one interview with the store owner to discover the needs and requirements for the new website. Next, I designed several different concepts for the website as well as making recommendation to brand and differentitate each type of durian using catchy graphics.

Finally, I implemented the approved designs in front-end coding for both web and mobile, made back-end changes to set the minimum purchase weight to 2kg for all durians and implemented different shipping costs based on delivery time.

From a makeshift stall to an established shop house along East Coast Road, Mr Wong Yew Loon, the owner of 227 Katong Durian now delivers a whole new experience of enjoying durians through his online durian store. He aims to provide convenience and serve only the very best durians at the comfort of his customer’s home.
