BusBuzz
#Mobile App
Project Brief | To design and launch 2 interconnected multi-language mobile apps called BusBuzz to address the white space for the school bus transportation. |
What I Did | #User Research #Information Architecture #Database Design #Mobile App Design #Graphic Design #Copywriting #Usability Testing #Front-end Development |
Approach | First, I began with a market study across 108 school bus companies and 189 primary schools with 55 participants. In each session, I deep-dived into their motivations, needs and pain points and gain their feedback on early design concepts. Next, I conceptualised several possible wireframes, mid- and high-fidelity designs with continuous stakeholder feedback. With a thorough understanding, I created over 80 mock-up screens and put through usability testing with real users, selecting the one that best facilitated information finding. The selected design was then in front-end code and handed over to my partner for back-end development. Copywriting and graphic designing was done towards the end for the app stores and website as well as other marketing materials. |
About BusBuzz
BusBuzz is a school bus monitoring app that makes school bus rides safer by letting parents and operators stay in touch and be informed of the children’s movements. Parents can take appropriate actions immediately once they are alerted that their child failed to board the school bus.
